Report: Ginobili to Undergo Heel Surgery
San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili says he needs arthroscopic surgery to repair a ligament injury in his left heel.
"They're going to operate on me," he told Argentina's La Nacion newspaper Friday. The 31-year-old doesn't know when he'll have the surgery or who will do it.

Olympian Dwyane Wade Honored in Miami
It was a picturesque moment for Dwyane Wade on Thursday. With the gold medal hanging proudly around his neck, Wade emerged from a shower of red, white, and blue confetti amidst 2,000 jubilant HEAT fans who gathered to give him a hero's welcome.
Wade, who helped Team USA win gold in this year's Olympics, was honored with a banner unveiling at the AmericanAirlines Arena. The banner will be displayed alongside the HEAT division and NBA championship banners.

The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they have signed free agent forward/center Sean Marks. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not released.

ABC News reports "Australian point guard Patrick Mills says he is yet to be approached by NBA clubs despite an impressive performances at the Beijing Olympics. Mills was the Boomers' highest pointscorer in Beijing, and finished in the top 10 in the tournament for the most steals. His skills attracted praise from American commentators who said he had the talent to play in the world's premier basketball competition, the NBA. But the 20-year-old starlet says playing college basketball in the United States limits his opportunities for now."
