Kid Rock tickets Kid Rock started Kid Rock's own label, Top Dog, and released monthly demo tapes dubbed The Bootleg Series, which featured demos of him and other up-an-coming rappers in the Detroit area. He signed on Curt Hauer, Dave Long, and the Cook twins to be Kid Rock's "Top Dog Interns". The interns would help him promote Kid Rock's shows and design Kid Rock's own merchandise line in the Detroit area. Around the same time, Kid Rock formed Kid Rock's back-up band Twisted Brown Trucker, later recruiting Joe C, who Kid Rock met at a 1994 concert, as part of the group. In 1995, Kid Rock took a job as a janitor at Whiterooms Studios in order to pay studio fees. When Kid Rock wasn't working, Kid Rock would record the material that would eventually make up Kid Rock's fourth album, Early Morning Stoned Pimp. Released in 1996 and Kid Rock sold 14,000 copies out of the trunk of Kid Rock's car and after concerts.
