Pearl Jam frontman
Eddie Vedder will head out for his first solo tour with a handful of West Coast dates highlighting his contributions to the soundtrack for Sean Penn's film "Into The Wild."
The trek kicks off April 2 at the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts and includes stops at Zellerbach Auditorium in Berkeley, Calif. (April 7), The Wiltern in Los Angeles (April 12-13) and Spreckels Theatre in San Diego (April 15).
New Zealand singer/songwriter Liam Finn will open all shows.
Pre-sale tickets are available to members of Pearl Jam's Ten Club at PearlJam.com. There is a two ticket limit for the pre-sale.
General ticket sales start February 22 at Ticketmaster.com. There is a four ticket limit.
Five special prime seat ticket packages per show will be auctioned off online along with an autographed limited-edition tour poster. An additional auction package for the Santa Barbara, Calif., show will also be available.
Proceeds from auction packages will support legal defense efforts for the West Memphis Three, three men tried and convicted for the murders of three children in West Memphis, Tenn., in 1993, via the Damien Echols Legal Defense Fund. Many believe the trio were wrongly convicted due to widespread media scrutiny and hysteria over possible Satanic motives for the killings.
