U2’s Album Has Been Released – Ready For ‘Songs of Innocence World Tour 2015′

U2-Songs-Of-Innocence1-608x608Not everyone was thrilled to be waking up Tuesday morning to see U2’s new album free and ready for download in about 500 million iTunes customers’ accounts. While some are disgruntled by the way U2 released the album, others are relishing in the fact that they finally have new music, the first since 2009.

There aren’t a lot of rock bands who can afford to give away a brand new album that they have been working years on, but U2 can…and they did. The album entitled “Songs of Innocence” has been well reviewed by critics and sounds like the bands has gotten back to their old sound. Bono spoked about the new album:

“It has a lyrical cohesion that I think is unique among U2 albums. I don’t want it to be a concept album, but the songs come from a place. Edge laughed and said this is our ‘Quadrophenia’. We could be so lucky.”

Most have already heard the 11 tracks on the album, and are ready for the next obvious step, the U2 Songs Of Innocence World Tour 2015.
