Rolling Stones Guitarist Ronnie Wood Pushing To Play Glastonbury Music Festival…More Dates?

The Rolling Stones tour rumors have certainly taken a backseat now that their 50 Years & Counting shows are behind them. Shortly after these massively successful anniversary shows the rumor mill started rolling in full swing, from headlining Coachella to kicking off a mass world tour in January.

It’s February and still no word from the Rolling Stones of any tour plans, although hints suggest after April.  Small interviews and comments have lead fans to believe that they are in fact planning a tour; they just need to see who has the best offers (the biggest pay day!)

Ronnie Wood recently spoke to The Independent and hinted that he is interested in headlining the Glastonbury Music Festival in late June:

“Wouldn’t it be nice,” Wood said, “We’ve got a meeting next month and that’s going to be my first question to them. It’s something I’ve always been interested in. I’m going to try and twist their arms.”

A Rolling Stones 2013 Tour was promised to fans and its just a matter of time before they make the announcement…and we hope that they can deliver!
