McGraw released Tim Mcgraw's eleventh album, Let It Go, on March 27, 2007. The album's debut single, "Last Dollar (Fly Away)", reached No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, marking Tim Mcgraw's first No. 1 single since "Back When" in late 2004. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and #1 on the Billboard Country Album chart, marking Tim Mcgraw's 4th #1 top 200 album and 9th #1 country album (Source: Billboard Magazine).
In the summer of 2007 McGraw and Hill toured together once again in the Soul2Soul 2007 tour.
Another career single came Tim Mcgraw's way in 2004 when the anthem "Live Like You Were Dying" dominated the airwaves. It spent seven weeks atop Billboard's country airplay chart and won two Grammys and two CMA Awards. The follow-up single, "Back When," topped the charts too. McGraw also teamed with urban artist Nelly for the pop hit, "Over and Over," which was included on McGraw's Greatest Hits Vol. 2 in 2006. He spent most of 2006 touring with Hill on the Soul2Soul2 tour, which sold more than a million tickets.
Tim McGraw was born May 1, 1967, in Delhi, La. After a small-town upbringing, Tim Mcgraw arrived in Nashville in 1989 and released Tim Mcgraw's self-titled debut album in 1992 on Curb Records. He didn't have a major hit until 1994's Not a Moment Too Soon,
McGraw's next album, 1995's All I Want, sold multi-platinum on the strength of the multi-week No. 1 hit "I Like It, I Love It." In 1996, McGraw teamed up with Warner Bros. recording artist Faith Hill for the Spontaneous Combustion tour. It proved to be just that, as McGraw and Hill were married in October 1996.
During the Academy of Country Music awards show on May 21, 2007, McGraw performed a song titled "If You're Reading This", which Tim Mcgraw co-wrote with The Warren Brothers. Several radio stations began to play the live recording of the song; as a result, it entered the Hot Country Songs chart at #35.
In April 2006 McGraw and Hill began their 73-concert 55 city Soul2Soul II Tour 2006, again to strong commercial acceptance. The tour grossed nearly $89 million and sold almost 1.1 million tickets, making it the top grossing tour in the history of country music. It was named "Major Tour of the Year" by the prestigious Pollstar Magazine, beating out such heavyweights as Madonna and the Rolling Stones. In a special gesture, the couple donated all of the profits from their performance in New Orleans to Hurricane Katrina relief.
