Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. is a holding company which owns, operates and manages casinos/hotels in the United States The company was formed in 2005 as a result of the restructing of its predecessor Trump Resorts and Casinos. Donald J. Trump is Chairman of the Board and James B. Perry is President and Chief Executive Officer.

The company owns and operates three casinos in Atlantic City: Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Trump Plaza both of which are located on the Boardwalk, and Trump Marina in Atlantic City's Marina District. The company recently sold the Trump Casino Hotel - a riverboat casino in Gary, Indiana. Trump Entertainment also formerly managed the Trump 29 Casino for the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians but a disagreements plagued Trump's relationship with the tribal council. On December 22, 2004, the company entered into a memorandum of understanding with the tribe to end the management agreement.

On April 30, 2005 The Company announced that it would not proceed with its plans to build a casino in the Orange County, Indiana town of French Lick. The Indiana Gaming Commission held new bidding and they are expected to vote on June 23, 2005 on the approval of Blue Sky Casino who was the sole bidder for the gaming license that was abandoned by Trump due to the fact that the company was insolvent and facing bankruptcy with over $1.3 billion of 11.25% First Mortgage notes secured by the Taj Mahal and Trump Plaza coming due in April 2006.

Trump Entertainment Resorts is currently (2006) in negotiations to develop two new casino properties, one located in Philadelphia, PA on at the location of the former Budd plant site, and the second in Johnston, RI. Both of these projects are currently pending state approvals and legislation for casino operations.

The Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, which the company owns is currently undergoing a $240 million renovation and addition of a new hotel tower.

Coachella is a city in Riverside County, California; it is the easternmost city in the region collectively known as the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area). The population was 22,724 at the 2000 census, but according to local officials it, might have doubled to 40,000 as of 2006 from one of the state's highest population growth rates.

The city was originally founded as Woodspur in 1876 when Southern Pacific built a railroad siding - a short stretch of railroad track used to store rolling stock or allow trains on the same line to pass. In the 1880s, a few hundred traqueros, railroad workers from Mexico took up settlement along the tracks.

The origin of the name Coachella is unclear but in 1901 the citizens of Woodspur voted on a new name for their Community - at their town hall meeting, the homeowners decided on "Coachella" as their designation. Not until the 1950s did Coachella begin to expand into its present sphere that includes 32 square miles.

Westerfield, Lester True, and Paul S. Atkinson. Also elected on November 26, 1946 were Marie L. Johnson as City Clerk and John C. Skene as City Treasurer. The film director Frank Capra is interred in the Coachella Valley Cemetery in Coachella. Professional boxing champions Antonio Diaz and Julio César Chávez are originally from Coachella. The agricultural area surrounding Coachella was where the United Farm Workers union staged strikes and protests, included visits by UFW leader Cesar Chavez.

Downtown Coachella is under renovation during an economic boom has increased the number of people in the city, as locals of Hispanic origin sometimes call it "Pueblo Viejo", or the old neighborhood. Despite its' image for Mexican immigration, a large percentage are US citizens born and raised in Coachella, a multi-generational Mexican American subculture has taken root in the town.
