The San Francisco 49ers are a professional football team that play on the National Football League with the National Football Conference on the West Division. The 49ers joined the former All-American Football Conference and were established in 1946. Then in 1949 the AAFC joined up to create the NFL after the merger. Home in San Francisco, California the 49ers have won 5 Super Bowls, 6 National Football Championships, 19 NFC West Division Championships, not to mention the 21 Players and 1 former head coach that are all Football Hall of Famers.
