The Washington Redskins are a Washington DC based professional Football Team that was established in 1932. The Redskins are a National Football League team that plays for the East Division of the National Football Conference. Although the team calls Washington DC home they play home games across the border at the FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland and home training is at Redskins Park in Ashburn, MD. The team started out in Boston, Massachusetts as the Boston Braves, and then a year later changed names to the Boston Redskins. Then the team relocated to Washington DC in 1937 and the team again changed names. This time the team would remain as the Redskins only adding in Washington to make them now the Washington Redskins. Over the year they have been League champions 5 times, 2 NFL champs and 3 Super Bowl Champions. They also hold 5 NFC titles and 13 Division championships with (6) NFL East titles and (7) NFC East titles. The Redskins moved into the FedEx Field in 1997 from the RFK Stadium or formerly call the D.C. Stadium. Prior to that they called the Griffith Stadium home from 1937-1960 and Fenway Park home from 1933-1936. Over many years the redskins have had many great players like Max Krause, Sam Huff, Sammy Baugh, Sonny Jurgensen, Darrell Green, Joe Theismann, and Mark Rypien to name a few.
